Austrian violinist  Regina Brandstätter runs a very successful violin studio at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, where she has been teaching since 1996 and was appointed professor in 2012.

Regina Brandstätter has performed as a chamber musician in the USA, Canada, China, and Europe. Her chamber music partners include Austrian pianist Barbara Moser; principal cellist of the Vienna Philharmonic, Peter Somodari, principal cellist of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Wenig Sin Yang, principal cellist of the Berlin Philharmonic, Götz Teutsch; violist Matthias Buchholz of the Cologne University of Music; cellist of the American String Quartet, Wolfram Kössl; and Cordelia Höfer, pianist and professor at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

As a soloist, Ms. Brandstätter has performed in the Goldener Saal (Golden Hall) of the Wiener Musikverein (Viennese Music Association). She has appeared with the Tonkünstler Orchestra in Lower Austria, the Bruckner Orchestra in Linz, the Orchestre Philharmonique des Pays de Loir conducted by Marc Soustrot, and with the Camerata Istropolitana at the Haydn Festival in Flanders.

Since 2002, Regina Brandstätter has been frequently collaborating with Raimund Lissy and Tobias Lea, principal second violin and principal viola of the Vienna Philharmonic respectively.

Regina Brandstätter’s  CD, “Solo for Two Violins”, with Cordelia Höfer on piano, was awarded the Austrian ORF Radio Pasticcio Prize in 2009. Featuring works by Dvořák, Fuchs, and Shostakovich, this CD is a very special documentation of the two artists’ collaboration.

Regina Brandstätter has been a jury member of national and international competitions.

Dr. Brandstätter’s teaching and concerts at the “Allegro Vivo” summer academy in Lower Austria, the “Summit Music Festival” in New York and also her collaboration with Professor Kurt Sassmannshaus at the “Great Wall International Music Academy” in Beijing, China, complete her profile as an active Austrian musician and teacher.

Since 2005, Regina Brandstätter has been a lecturer at the Mozarteum International Summer Academy in Salzburg with her Masterclass for Young Students. Many of her students have won first prizes in national and internationalcompetitions and hold scholarships from the Angelika Prokopp Foundation of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

Die österreichische Violinistin Regina Brandstätter unterrichtet seit 1996 an der Kunstuniversität in Graz, ist seit 2012 habilitiert und leitet sehr erfolgreich eine Violinklasse. Ihre Konzerttätigkeit führten sie als Kammermusikern in die USA, Canada, China und zahlreiche Länder Europas.

Zu ihren Kammermusikpartnern die österreichische Pianistin Barbara Moser , Peter Somodari, Solocellist der Wiener Philharmoniker, Wenig Sin Yang- Solocellist des Bayrischen Rundfunks, Götz Teutsch – Solocellist der Berliner Philharmoniker, der Bratschist Matthias Buchholz, Musikhochschule Köln, Wolfram Kössl , Cellist des American Stringquartett und Cordelia Höfer, ´Pianistin und Professorin an der Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg Seit 2002 konzertiert ist sie regelmäßig als Kammermusikerin mit Raimund Lissy, Stimmführer der Sekundgruppe der Wiener Philharmoniker und dem Solobratschisten der Wiener Philharmoniker, Tobias Lea.

Die CD „Solo for two violins“ mit Werken von Dvorak , Fuchs und Schostakovich mit Cordelia Höfer am Klavier, dokumentiert diese musikalische Zusammenarbeit auf besondere Weise und wurde 2009 mit dem Radio Pasticcio- Preis des österreichischen Rundfunks ausgezeichnet.

Regina Brandstätter ist auch als Jurorin in nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben vertreten.
Mit ihrer Dozenten und Konzerttätigkeit der Sommerakademie „Allegro vivo“ Niederösterreich, dem “Summit Music Festival“ in New York und in Zusammenarbeit mit Prof Kurt Sassmannshaus auch an der „Great Wall International Music Academy“ in Beijing in China, rundet sie das Bild einer aktiven österreichischen Musikerin und Pädagogin ab.

Bereits seit 2005 ist sie als Dozentin an der Internationalen Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Salzburg mit ihrem Meisterkurs für Jungstudenten tätig.

Viele ihrer Studierenden sind 1. Preisträger nationaler und internationaler Wettbewerbe, sowie Stipendiaten der Angelika Prokopp Stiftung der Wiener Philharmoniker.

Regina Brandstätter spielt eine Violine von Jean Batiste Vuillaume.
